Speed Legacy Generation 6 Downloads

Generation 6 of my Speed Legacy is updated. Percival, Leo, Chris, Jimba and Hugo are now ready for download. Hugo's file also includes his IF, Lilly.



As always, these files contain the .sim file. Extract to your SavedSims folder.

Notes on Custom Content: Most sims have CC hair. Chris has a CC necklace and matching earrings by Tomislaw (free at TSR). If you want any of the sims sans CC, please leave a comment.

Impressions of Hidden Springs...errr...gripes about EA

I got it! Well, duh, it is The Sims 3 content from EA...not much of a reason, but I guess I'm addicted to the slipshod content that EA puts out...

I must admit, I was intrigued about the Fountain of Youth. The hype (the video walk-trough, mainly), was enough to reel me in! I guess I'm just a gullible, masochistic, sucker! They say there's one born every minute, and I now have to wonder if I'm the only one; and am reborn every minute...I even complained that the video walk-through was poorly done with the camera at an angle to the computer monitor.

...so anyway, I have it!

All the gripes about it's price are dumbfounded; I mean, I figured it to be about 2400 Sim Points! Considering Hidden Springs came with the Fountain of Youth that offered "added game play" whereas Barnacle Bay was released at 1600 Sim Points and had no such object, and the other objects released with added game play were upwards of 1200 Sim Points by themselves in the Store...and it's released "on sale" for the whopping discount of 200 Sim Points at 2250...

It's pretty! It's green! (Should have listened to you, Jules!) Don't need another green world!

There are plenty of pics on the TS3 forums, so I won't waste my time with generic pics here! (Okay, so I didn't take any shots for the sake of taking shots!)

I was thoroughly put off by the mountainous terrain, as I knew I would be! It is not camera friendly! It really irks me when I pan around the back of a lot to take a screenshot and I get whisked away to some mountain peak, losing my bearings AND MY SHOT!

I, like many others, searched and searched for this mystical Fountain of Youth that was the centerpiece of EA's hype for this world, only to find out that the players have to place this fountain themselves! What kind of lazy shit is that? (I am now of the opinion that every negative trait in the game was taken from one of the design team members!)

I truly expected to install the world, select a pre-made sim, and PLAY! Well, double-dumb-ass on me! Was it too much to expect to have the Fountain of Youth PLACED after all the hype? Am I really that stupid?

Anyway, I placed the fountain and made somewhat of a grotto in the park nearest the lot I chose to place my sims! So here are a couple screen shots (that's all you get)! :P





I have since added fog emitters! I may adjust/add some lighting after I see what it looks like in the dark!

*The stairs I used are from Luna Sims Santorini build set!

A diversion - still!

I'm still playing on the small island with Mordecai and Lethe. I decided to build a consignment shop (at least) so I could have at least one venue on the island. This is my first project using CFE! :P Please go easy on me! I realize now that I didn't get it quite right, but I'm happy enough with it now! :)

A little silly randomness...

I removed all of my game saves, my saved sims folder, all mods and CC from my game...I added a few pieces of new CC to make it easier to find, to see if it was what I wanted...

Well...long story, short, I only found two of the eight pieces of CC, but started a new save while doing so! Here are a few shots!

I placed Mordecai, one of Rob's vampiric offspring on to Rflong's Lonely Island! I built a small shack, that turned into some kind of woodsy fairy tale "thing" in the end...





I noticed a female sim off the edge of the lot, just standing there...



...which turned out to be his IF, Lethe. When I tried to have him interact with her, she vanished. I found the doll in his inventory and moved it to the floor, at which time it came to life and went invisible. I knew it/she was there, because he was pillow fighting with her!



I quit the game after a bit to add my mods back in, so I could change Lethe's outfit! :P I did and gave her a makeover!

Well, I was now able to see Lethe again...

I had Mordecai try a little clean fun with her...





...which she clearly enjoyed!



After a little trial and error...



...Mordecai was able to discover the formula to make the Imaginary Friend Metamorphium...

In the end, I didn't find the CC I was initially looking for! :(

The competition begins...

The Patriarch, Rob, found himself in a contest for Cock of the Roost with his Grandson, Viktor.

As suggested by VQ, and huzzahed by Cami, I set them out to uncover the "prettiest sparkly" by breaking space rocks...

They faced off...


...and quickly got to the task at hand...


...Rob takes no time at all making himself the early leader in the contest, by producing the first sparkly - Smithsonite, if I'm not mistaken...


...Viktor breaks his first and comes up empty...


...in my mind, the competition is over, but I am willing to wait until Viktor gets a sparkly, however, Rob now has three rocks to his credit and Viktor is yet to produce his first!


How badly will this end for Viktor?
