A modeling competition with a twist
One person, who will act as the emcee, creates an emcee and will control the contest.
Responsibilities:
EMCEE:
All contestants will be model their outfits for each of the fashion rounds in the same pose(s).
An everyday outfit/stage costume will be chosen and designed by the emcee to give the competition a common theme.
A stage will be set up to accompany the theme of the contest. Separate stages may be used for the different segments of the competition. Each set used must be used for every contestant.
All screenshots will be taken by the emcee. Each contestant will be posed in each of the fashion rounds. Poses can either be custom or based on their traits. Poses must be consistent, meaning if a custom pose is used for one contestant, that pose will be use for all contestants; and conversely, if a trait pose is used for one, all contestants must be judged on a trait pose. Poses based on traits will provide a variety of actions and prove more interesting. Ideally, a mix of a custom pose and a trait pose would provide the best result.
BASIC RULES:
Simblrs/simmers can enter a Sim of their choosing. Both female and male Sims are eligible!
The simblr/simmer will choose each of the outfits for the fashion rounds and talent for their contestant.
Each Sim will be judged on fashion sense, talent, and personality.
POISE/FASHION:
Each contestant will be posed in each of two fashion rounds, consisting of:
Evening Gown
Swimsuit
More fashion rounds may be added to future contests (i.e. career, everyday, etc.)
TALENT:
The talent round will consist of two or more screenshots of each contestant performing their talent. Duplicate talents are allowed and quite possibly unavoidable. The talent must be something that can be easily performed on a stage.
INTERVIEW:
Each contestant will be asked an interview question (sent by private message) and the simblr/simmer will reply with the contestant’s answer (again, by private message).
JUDGING:
There will be three judges (optimum) to judge each round.
Each individual screenshot will be judged separately on its own merits. The contestants will NOT be judged on custom poses, if used, but can be judged on their trait poses (if used).
Each screenshot will be awarded 1 to 10 points.
Each judge can use their own criterion for judging each screenshot. Criterion does NOT have to be revealed at any time.
All judging will be in private, providing their scores to the emcee. The emcee will tally the contestants’ scores.
VOTING:
Each round will be opened up for community (or popular) votes. Community votes can be solicited via tumblr ask. These votes will be tallied and added to the judges’ scores for a final tally.
SCORING:
Each contestants score will be a combination of judges’ scores and popular vote. Judges’ scores will count for 50 percent of the score, popular vote the other 50 percent.
ENTERING/APPLICATION:
Every Sim that is entered will have outfits/hair styles of choice for the competition, a biography, and an application portfolio. The biography will act as the application in the event there are more Sims received than there are spots for. The biography should include, at a minimum, a brief history of the sim, a description of their talent, their aspirations, and future career goals. The portfolio must include at least one close-up CAS screen shot and one close-up in-game screen shot.
The participation of the contestants is limited to submitting an appropriately dressed Sim, bio, talent and answering an interview question.
Pimp your Sim if you want them to get popular votes!
GAME SPECIFIC RULES/LIMITATIONS:
I have all Expansion and Stuff Packs. I have all Store content. Any outfits/hair style from EA may be chosen!
NO CC. Even though I have a lot of CC hair styles (my tastes are restrictive), please limit your Sims to EA hair only! I don’t want to be hunting down CC!
If enough Sims of each gender are submitted, I may separate them and have two separate Competitions
NOTE: This is just a fun thing - no prizes!
